Welcome!

Lady Lomin is a women’s project in Southern Sudan, which exists since October 2008.

Wishes for 2011

January 1st, 2011
  • The store of our workshop is not yet completed, we still miss some of the shelves.
  • We would like to build an open Tukul, a round hut. Our dyers Juan and Sandia have to do their work in hot sunshine as well as in rain, suffering either from heat or coldness.
  • We need a water pipe near this Tukul. For the moment they carry all the water they need for dying and washing from far.
  • We are urgently looking for a twisting machine. In Kampala/Uganda is a company spinning organic cotton, but they cannot twist their yarn. We need twisted yarn for our weaving! Here is the problem. If we could find a twisting machine, they could produce our yarn and we would be able to buy our yarn their and this would be great! So in case, if anyone knows anything or knows someone who knows something or knows someone who knows someone…. Please contact us!!! Thanks a lot! DirecTwist2A
